CLAREMONT, CA—Rutgers-Camden's Tim VanLiew claimed the national championship in the javelin with a winning throw of 67.19 meters. Montclair State's Heather Gearity won the national title in the 400 meter hurdles with a winning time of 1:00.27. In the last event of the championship, the Rowan 4x400 meter relay defended its national title with a winning time of 3:10.56. All in all, 18 NJAC student-athletes turned in All-American performances at the 2012 NCAA Women’s and Men’s National Outdoor Track & Field Championships conducted in Claremont, CA on May 24-26.
