PITMAN—The New Jersey Athletic Conference Board of Athletic Administrators recently voted to name three of the league s special awards in honor of individuals whose lives had major impacts in the conference during their professional careers. The Board elected to name the league s top softball coaching honor as the Dr. June Walker Softball Coach of the Year Award.” The Board also elected to name the award that is presented to the league s top women s and men s indoor track & field athletes as the G. Larry James Most Outstanding Indoor Track & Field Athlete Awards.” All three awards will be presented for the first time under the names of Walker and James posthumously at the 2014 NJAC Awards Brunch which will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton on June 1.
