Two Women's Cross Country Runners Earn NJAC All-Conference Honors

PITMAN, NJ Two Rowan University women's cross country runners received New Jersey Athletic Conference honors. The All-Conference teams were released on Tuesday. Dianne Ferraro (fr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) and Emily Acton (jr. Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville) were members of the All-Conference second team. The NJAC All-Conference honors are determined based on individual performances at the NJAC Championships. The top seven finishers are first team honorees and the next seven are second team selections. Ferraro finished 12th with a time of 23:41.01 on the 6K course among 90 student-athletes. During the season, she was named the NJAC Rookie of the Week two times. Acton took 13th place in 23:54.44. It was the first All-Conference honor for both runners. The conference championships were held at Stockton University on Saturday, Oct. 29. Rowan finished third overall with a team total of 82 points.
